Sharing Shakespeare

Mon 04 April 16 — Mon 04 April 16
One Night Only
Intermission St Saviour's

IYT are proud to announce "Sharing Shakespeare" 2 Islands, 1 Stage; an evening of performance and discussion at Intermission St Saviour's, Knightsbridge on Monday 4th April 2016.

Challenging the stereotypes and preconceptions of Shakespeare, Intermission Youth Theatre members will join Jamaican guests, Campion College to each present examples of their work, conduct a Q&A about their journeys, their process and their choices as actors, and engage in lively debate about the relevance of Shakespeare today when it comes to BME communities both in London and abroad.

Intermission will perform Verona Road, their original reimagining of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, alongside Campion College's competition-winning production of Macbeth. With refreshments provided through partner charity Generating Genius, live music and a panel of special participating guests, Sharing Shakespeare promises to be a night of culture, education and entertainment for all.

Date: Monday 4th April 2016

Evening starts at 7pm, doors open at 6.30pm
