"Intermission has been a consistent source of joy, unconditional love, support and importantly, stability for myself and hundreds of others over the years - The kind of stability that so many of us lacked in other aspects of our lives.
In the corridor, we congregated after workshops.
In the living room, we rested, ate, danced and created content.
In the kitchen, we cooked for each other and broke bread with one another.
In the basement, we rehearsed, played games and forgot the depressions of the world above us.
In the theatre, we became our best selves and built our confidence to the point where we KNEW we had something to offer the world.
In the chapel, we prayed, cried and sought counsel.
Outside, we interacted with strangers and laughed until the sun went down.
En route to the station, we looked around and soaked in the trappings of another world that outside of intermission, we would not have had access to.
Having a home is so much more than just a building in which we meet. So much more. The home for intermission is just as important as what goes on within it. Inextricably linked."
