Our mission is to work with 16-25 year olds who are lacking in opportunity, at risk, at risk of offending or economically disadvantaged.
We select around 40 young people each year from different London boroughs, faiths and nationalities through an informal interview - month to be confirmed.
We don’t hold auditions. We don’t expect you to be a Shakespeare scholar or a brilliant actor. We let other schools do that!
We take people who have an interest in drama and who are prepared to be committed to the 10-month programme, including the 2-week Summer School and November production.

It does cost - about £5,000 for each person per year - but it doesn't cost you!
We are hugely grateful for the generous support of many individuals, trusts, foundations and companies who fundraise and give money to us to run Intermission Youth Theatre.
