We use Shakespeare as a mirror to young people’s lives, tackling issues that are relevant and challenging, such as knife crime, gang violence, peer pressure, jealousy, rage, relationships.

Using IYT’s techniques of re-imagining Shakespeare, the programme promotes literacy, improves behaviour, builds confidence, self-awareness and communication skills.

We can devise a programme of work which will include many of the following:

  • Drama exercises & ice-breakers
  • Creative devising & writing
  • Learning the story of a Shakespeare play experientially

  • Conversations regarding the young people's thoughts, interests & issues they face
